Dr. Jo Drahos, co-owner, is a 1994 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She was a practitioner in the Quad-Cities until her move to Muscatine and Riverside Animal Hospital in 2000.  Prior to obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, Dr. Jo received her bachelors degree in biophysics from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.  She also worked as a technician at The Animal Emergency Center of Milwaukee.     

In addition to her talent in small animal medicine, her experience has made her one of eastern Iowa's top experts in pet bird medicine.  Dr. Jo emphasizes an approach to veterinary medicine that combines cutting edge sophistication with a gentle and caring bedside manner.

Dr. Jo also enjoys helping Dr. Dan support their two children in their activities.  In her free time, she enjoys training for triathlons, canoeing, and skiing with the kids.  The family dog, Aspen (a RAGOM golden retriever), is her running partner.  Dr. Jo also enjoys involvement in community theatre projects, having appeared in and also worked behind the scenes in several local productions.  She is currently on the board of Pearl City Players Theatrical Society.
