Frontline
Plus- Frontline Plus, fipronil, is a once-a-month topical flea and tick
preventative for dogs and cats.
- Kills 98-100% of existing fleas in less than 24 hours and continues
killing fleas for an entire month.
- Frontline is stored in the skin glands from where it is
continuously released from the hair follicles onto the fur.
- Remains waterproof for 30 days or longer after swimming and bathing
- Kills 100% of deer ticks between 24-48 hours after contact
- Kills all major species of ticks (Deer Tick, Brown Dog Tick,
American Dog Tick, and Lone Star Tick). All of these species are found in
our area.
Revolution- Revolution, selemectin, is monthly prescription topical medication
for dogs and cats.
- In cats, Revolution protects against fleas, heartworms, ear mites,
hookworms, and roundworms.
- In dogs, Revolution protects against fleas, heartworms, ear mites,
sarcoptic mange, and American Dog Tick prevention.
Sentinel- Sentinel, milbemycin oxime, is a prescription flavor tab given once
monthly for prevention of heartworm disease, fleas, roundworms,
hookworms, and whipworms.
- Sentinel has no effect on adult fleas, but it controls flea
populations by breaking the flea cycle at the egg stage.
Capstar- Capstar, nitenpyram, is a single dose medication that should kill
all of the adult fleas on your pet.
- Capstar begins working within 30 minutes.
- Capstar should be used with another product for a complete flea
management system.
- Capstar is safe enough that it can be repeated once daily.
